In reply to <a href="https://bodyrecomposition.com/training/two-a-day-training-weight-room#comment-9614">Eric</a>.

Oh I liked him before he became a sellout conman. In recent years he has claimed, among other gems:
1. That eating bolivian avocados for 3 days allowed him to gain 3.4 lbs LBM and lose 2.4 lbs fat.
2. That he put 23 lbs of LBM on an athlete in ONE MONTH by giving him HCL tablets
3. That belly button rings will throw off your electrical currents and make you gain fat (every stripper disproves this)
4. That taking out an athlete's aluminum fillings allowed him to put another 20 lbs LBM on an athlete in a month
5. That people should take 30 grams per day (10Xthe effective dose) of the fish oil he sells

So either his decimal point is broken on his keyboard (divide all of his numbers by 10 and they are realistic) or the man is a fruitcake now using his reputation to scam the gullible with bullshit. That's why.

It gets a bit more complicated when you are talking about skill stuff (where daily practice usually helps) versus biochemical/physiological gene/expression stuff but yeah, basically what you said.

Great coincidence that Lyle is writing on this topic. I was just discussing with a friend if high frequency training is better for adaptation if controlled for volume due to the biochem factors. It stands to reason (and hopefully evidence) that eliciting more frequent gene expression, heightened protein synthesis, etc. would entail expedited results if the negative associations with high frequency training can be mitigated.

Anecdotally, this helps explain why most non-drug using bodybuilders tend to expedite development with moderate intensity/high frequency training sessions as opposed to the "destroy the muscle once per week" scheme. Additional anecdote: My most rapid strength gains have resulted from every day programs, e.g. squat every day, press every day, etc., where I trained a variant of the movement every day but was careful to limit total volume and intensity.

Look forward to part 2.
