However, in order to keep your work mistake-free and reliable, I need to make one correcting comment about the information about dextrose - actually it is just a synonym for glucose. It would be bad if glucose we eat was an L-glucose, as our body is not able to digest it (it couldn&#039;t come down the glycolysis pathway). Generally, practically all the carbs occuring in our metabolism are D (and all the amino acids are L). The L carbs and D amino acids occur quite infrequently, mainly in some strange plant glycosides or bacterial toxins.
